THE FORD TRUCKS TRANSCONTINENTAL RETURNS TO THE ROADS IN THE HERITAGE VERSION
The Transcontinental was an old glory of the great Ford family which in the seventies, precisely in 1975, decided to enter the European market with a heavy vehicle suited to the needs of European customers, because the stylistic standards but also the highway code were different from the American ones; we therefore needed a truck suitable for traveling on our roads. This is how the legendary Ford Transcontinental was born, which almost fifty years after its release is presented again with a truly limited number of production in the F-Max with a Heritage livery, which pays homage to the colors of the seventies edition.
The Trancontinental of fifty years ago was the 4,435 while today it is the F-Max, which maintains the distinctive character and authenticity of the blue oval cabin intact, even if compared to the previous edition the driver finds more comfort and performance with a truly cutting-edge technology with a 500 horsepower engine, obtained thanks to the powerful Ford Ecotorq 6-cylinder in-line engine.
The cabin is very large with its 2.5 meters of soundproof space with details specifically designed to revive the comfort of home during long journeys.
The steering is electro-hydraulic EHPAS, with a steering wheel with electric power assistance on three levels respectively for city, mixed and long journeys.
Those who want to equip themselves with it are now available for purchase.
