PRODUCTION START OF THE DAIMLER TRUCKS FREIGHTLINER EM2
Freightliner Trucks is an American company that produces trucks and is 100% controlled by the German Daimler Trucks.
In recent years it has led internal combustion engine development initiatives as part of its efforts to embrace electric vehicles and one of these is the Freightliner eM2, which will soon hit the roads of North America thanks to the start of production which marks another milestone towards a zero-emission product line.
The first reviews from customers are quite positive and we can´t wait to present it and put it on the market immediately.
The Freightliner eM2 is a medium load vehicle and will be available in two Class 6 or 7 versions with a fully loaded mass ranging between 11 and 15 tonnes. It will be produced in the United States and as we said it will then be distributed in North America and Canada.
The Freightliner eM2 in the class 6 version will have a single engine capable of delivering 190 horsepower and a 194 kWh battery which will guarantee a range of 290 kilometers, while in the class 7 version the horsepower is 255, the battery will have a charging capacity of 291 kWh and the autonomy will be equal to 400 kilometers.
The Freightliner eM2 will comply with all safety standards and thanks to the technological support it is equipped with, it will be possible to monitor all vehicle specifications in real time, such as tire pressure and battery status.
