THE NEW SELF-DRIVEN IVECO S-WAY IS IN CIRCULATION: CHARACTERISTICS AND PERFORMANCE
It was 2019 when Iveco launched the new S-Way on the market to replace the old Stralis model.
Now, 4 years after its baptism, the Italian company has designed a new self-driving model which has involved the redesign of the cabin, increasing the space on board and greater driving comfort for the driver. The drive unit has been strengthened and the visibility of the vehicle increased with a much improved design to optimize aerodynamic performance while increasing fuel efficiency by up to 4%.
Compared to previous Iveco models, new LED lights have been added, while the steps for entering or exiting the cab have been hidden by the new design of the doors.
The power performance has a 530 horsepower version, but its strength lies in the greater versatility which makes it suitable for greater performance in national and international road transport.
The specialized press gives a rather flattering opinion, saying that the improvement of the flows in the front part and the angular spoilers on the pillars are a real step forward. The new Cursor 13 adjustment seems to be the most appropriate in combination with the excellent Hi-Tronix gearbox. Functionality and comfort of the cab are further improved thanks to the manually reduced tunnel of ten centimetres.
However, there are gray areas such as the metallic gray exterior color and the dark interiors that do not do justice to a design that combines practicality with elegant shapes. The touch screen in the center of the dashboard, also given the digital equipment, could aspire to something more than the current 7 inches.
