THE NEW MERCEDES E-ACTROS 600 FOR LONG DISTANCES MAKES DEBUT IN OCTOBER
In 2024, series production of the new Actros 600 model, the electric truck specially designed for long distances, will begin. It will be officially presented to the press on October 10, 2023 and will be an occasion for the numerous journalists to admire the new captivating design with truly surprising technological innovation.
It was called Actros 600 due to the extraordinary capacity of its batteries which have a power of 600 kWh and together with its brothers Actros 300 and 400 it is destined to operate in a capillary way in urban distribution thanks to the fact that it can travel, as we have already said , long distances.
The new model has a range of 500 km on a single charge and has been equipped with a new generation electric axle with a series of components produced with great flexibility on the traditional assembly line, allowing the German plant to alternate production between traditional and electric axles based on demand trends.
Again thanks to the feedback that customers will be able to provide to the manufacturer for subsequent improvements, 50 prototypes will be put into circulation.
The new vehicle will have a group of batteries that will be able to recharge in less than 30 minutes and a charging station with a power of about 1 MW will suffice, highlighting the very high level of efficiency of the system.
