PROSPECTS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND REBIRTH OF THE LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT SECTOR AT TRANSPO DAY
Traspo Day was held last March, an international transport and logistics fair which for the sixth consecutive edition was held in S. Marco Evangelista, a town in the province of Caserta.
The Traspo Day fair was born with the aim of promoting a sector considered of vital importance for the production system of our country, which is the fourth in the world for exports; and this is why the event becomes more and more important every year, because it provides operators with an opportunity to participate in progress and innovation in a sector that travels to become more and more environmentally friendly.
Many production, marketing, road haulage and logistics companies were present at the important trade fair to address an audience of professionals and entrepreneurial realities, especially those operating in the South. Fairs are always important moments not only for sales, but also for discussions between operators and updates for a constantly evolving sector.
To give an idea of the importance of the sector, let´s give some numbers: in 2022 in Italy the logistics market grew by 2.8% compared to 2021, but today, due to the war in Ukraine, the difficulties have reappeared and concern reigns uncertainty due to soaring raw material prices. Added to these difficulties are structural problems such as the burden of bureaucracy much more oppressive than foreign competitors, not to mention the now chronic shortage of drivers and train drivers.
To relaunch the logistics sector, administrative simplification is needed to reduce the burden of bureaucracy, but the state elephant is far from losing weight and the failure to intervene in this direction does nothing but penalize national operators in their comparison with foreign colleagues who they have more fluid traffic and a better competitiveness of the whole system.
