INCENTIVES FOR THE RENEWAL OF THE FLEET IN FREIGHT TRANSPORT COMING SOON
Before the Easter holidays, a decree of the Minister of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility containing provisions for the provision of incentives for the renewal of the freight fleet was published in the Official Gazette. In particular, this provision publishes the procedures for submitting applications for admission and the booking and reporting phases of the contributions granted.
There are two windows for the submission of applications: the first started on 19 April and will close on 3 June, while the second window will open on 3 October and it will be possible to submit applications until 16 November 2022.
The application submission phase is preceded by a reservation that the haulage company must make to allow the provider to set aside the necessary sums on the sole basis of the asset acquisition contract, which can also be a lease. When the abstract amount due has been assigned to the beneficiary, subsequently the public grant will have to be reported in a subsequent phase, during which the interested parties have the burden of providing an analytical reporting of the acquisition costs of the goods subject to the investment.
It is important to remember in order not to be excluded from the procedure that companies must submit together with the duly completed loan application, a copy of the identification document of the legal representative of the company and a copy of the purchase contract for the asset. As regards the latter, the decree says that it must be signed with a digital signature by the legal representative or the company´s attorney in the case of the purchase of trailers or semi-trailers.
Finally, it is important to remember that the application must be submitted exclusively by pec.
