THE NEW DAF TRUCKS ELECTED VEHICLES OF THE YEAR 2022
As every year in December, an international jury made up of 24 expert journalists in the sector, representing the most important international newspapers dealing with transport, awarded the traditional prize to the truck that stands out for its efficiency in road transport.
For 2022, the award was not awarded to a particular vehicle, but to a series of trucks, which the DAF company put on the market last autumn and which obviously comply with the new European regulations regarding the masses and dimensions of trucks. . We are talking about the new XF, XG and XG +, which we have already had the opportunity to talk about thanks to their characteristics of efficiency, safety and driving comfort at the top of the category.
The new DAFs stand out because they offer excellent visibility thanks to a large curved windshield and a new camera for 360-degree angle viewing, replacing traditional rear-view mirrors.
The award ceremony took place in Lyon, France, to the great satisfaction of the top management of the DAF company, who have been able to represent a great innovation project in over 90 years of history and also in over 40 years of the award´s history.
It was back in 1977 when a British journalist had the happy intuition of rewarding the vehicle that meets the requirements, which we talked about before and that all road users are looking for.
As always, the choice of the model to be awarded now involves journalists from 19 countries, including Italy.
