NEW QUALITY CERTIFICATION FOR BOTH NEW AND USED MERCEDES TRUCKS
The Mercedes-Benz car manufacturer, in particular the Trucks division, has introduced a quality certification system, which is a hallmark not only for new vehicles, but also for used ones, so that each vehicle throughout its life cycle always maintain its quality standard to guarantee customers.
The quality certification consists of a label with a gold, silver and bronze classification system that will be awarded only to Mercedes trucks that are no more than five years old and have traveled a maximum of 5,000 km. Mercedes certification provides a guarantee that these vehicles will not enter a garage for the next three months after the dealership leaves or at least the next 20,000km for models up to 12 tonnes or the next 30,000km for vehicles over 12 tons.
Two other quality standards are the tread depth of at least 6 mm. and the warranty of at least 12 months for what concerns the transmission, which is valid throughout Europe with no mileage limitations and no excesses. If there is no marked label, then the vehicle does not guarantee all the qualities listed so far.
The marketing policies of Mercedes-Benz in recent years are aimed at customer satisfaction with the recognition of a right to change vehicles within 14 days of purchase. Customer satisfaction is very important, because an unhappy customer is a lost customer, but it could become a reason for the dissatisfaction of other future customers who can read negative reviews on the quality of services: this is why if a customer is not satisfied with a truck, then he can go back to the dealership and have the possibility to change the vehicle during the two weeks remaining to him with the unavoidable charge of the costs in relation to the change.
The certification will be available first in Austria and then from March 2021 in all other countries.
