DAIMLER SPREADS IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2020 IN THE ASIAN MARKETS
Daimler is a company that manufactures cars and vehicles founded in 1926, whose genesis is to be found primarily in 1884 when the German engineer, Gottlieb Daimler, patented the invention of the gas engine with incandescent tube ignition, which was the basis for another German engineer, Karl Benz, to invent the first automobile prototype in 1886.
From the success of these two experiences, Daimler-Benz based in Berlin was born in 1926 and soon came a long way in the automotive industry, which already in 1927 produced the first series of trucks, representing the first example of heavy truck in series and equipped with diesel engine. The expansion in this sector lasted until the Second World War, where production was reconverted for military purposes, as the construction of transport vehicles and aircraft engines became a priority.
The German company has since expanded all over the world and after a new re-foundation in 1998, the company today reached an important milestone in the first quarter of 2020, selling over 100,000 medium and large trucks in India.
In fact, India represents or at least represented until the coronavirus emergency, because the whole world has changed since April, a really interesting market because it is a developing country, which needs equipment and means for its economic expansion, selling trucks, obviously suited to the needs of the Indian customer, with capacities from 9 to 55 tons, not to mention the developed sales and assistance network that has been created with over 235 contact points.
Daimler´s investment in India has not only stopped in sales, but also in production, setting up a truly cutting-edge production plant in this country, from which trucks exported to over 50 markets in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East emerge. and Asia.
