CLIMATE DECREE: AN AUTHENTIC PASTRY

CLIMATE DECREE: AN AUTHENTIC PASTRY
One of the first acts of this new yellow-red government was the so-called "Climate Decree", a provision which, according to the intentions of the Minister for the Environment, aimed to introduce bonuses for the purchase of electric cars, cuts of 10% to tax concessions classified as harmful to the environment and above all increases in excise duties, other than decreasing them according to the intentions of the League, on fuels, in particular on diesel fuel, widely used by trucking companies, which would be found, along with all other sectors like agriculture and fishing under a blow of at least two billion euros. These are already sectors in crisis and then the Government penalizes them in this way, it would mean giving the classic coup de grace.
The climate decree as it is, does not go, and therefore before becoming a definitive text, it will have to undergo a series of modifications aimed at improving the text or even being rewritten from top to bottom. Yet it had to be a provision that the Italian government wanted to show as its ticket of visit to the next United Nations climate summit scheduled for September 23rd, but the negative reactions were many and if it does not change, the President of the Republic could not sign it also because the covers are uncertain.
Companies, especially road haulage companies, deserve to be helped and not penalized, because jobs are put at risk and therefore it is necessary to work in a climate of great sharing to draft a text that is good for everyone. At this point, what are the ways to go? If it is not a law decree, but a simple bill, then the procedure of the ordinary law must be followed, which is longer with a more insidious road, but perhaps in all probability it will become a link to the Budget Law.
