FREE TRAIL FOR TRUCKERS AT THE REQUEST FOR PENSION ADVANCE
A circular from INPS reopens the possibility for truck drivers who have fulfilled the requirements of the law to file an application to access the social EPA. For those who do not know it yet, the 2017 budget law introduced the so-called pension advance, which is an indemnity paid by the INPS to all those who have completed 63 years of age and at least 30 years of contributions and who are in situations not dependent on their will in a state of unemployment, but not yet in a position to receive an old-age pension. It is an experimental measure in force until December 31, 2019 and serves to accompany these workers to the retirement age provided for by the law which is that of 67 years. Among other things, the instrument of the EPA was reconfirmed in the decree law n. 4/2019, the same provision that introduced the citizenship income and the 100 share.
In the case of the truck driver profession, the same legislation defines it as a heavy but not a tiring job, so from 29 January 2019 truck drivers can access the request for a tax benefit, which consists of a 12-month payment for a maximum amount of 1,500 euros per month to be paid, as we have already said, up to 67 years.
The indemnity of the social EPA commences from the first day of the month following the presentation of the request for access to the benefit where, on that date, all the requisites and conditions provided for by the law, including the cessation of work, are fulfilled.
In order to assess whether the financial resources allocated are sufficient to cover the benefit with respect to the number of those entitled, monitoring is carried out, which is carried out on the basis of the greater proximity to the old age registry requirement and, with the same requirement, based on the date of submission of the request for recognition of the conditions.
Individuals who are or could be in the conditions established by law by December 31, 2019 must, prior to applying for benefits, apply for recognition of the conditions of access to the benefit by March 31, 2019, July 15, 2019 and, in any case , no later than 30 November 2019.
